Mass media is a way to reach many people at once.

It includes many things like books, movies, and the Internet. It also includes radio and television. These are called broadcast media. They send signals to many homes at the same time.

In the past, printing was the main way to share news. Johannes Gutenberg made a printing press in 1453. This tool helped make books much faster. Later, newspapers became very popular. In the 1800s, fast trains helped move papers to far places.

As time went on, new tools changed everything. Radio and TV became very big. People liked them because they used sound and color. It was easy to just sit and watch.

Today, the Internet is the most popular tool. We use mobile phones and websites to find facts fast.

Mass media can shape how we see the world. It can help us learn about big issues. But it can also change our ideas about people. Some groups use media to show only certain views. This can lead to stereotypes. A stereotype is a fixed idea about a group of people.
