This plan was called the Manifesto of Futurism. It shared a new way to think about art. Marinetti wanted to move away from the past. He loved the power of new machines. He also loved speed and industry. He believed that fast cars were symbols of progress.

The Futurists wanted to change Italy. They wanted to make it modern. They thought art should feel alive and moving. They even said art should be felt with the body. Some women were part of this group too. Benedetta Cappa Marinetti worked with glass and metal. She explored a style called aeropainting. Other women, like Valentine de Saint Point, were also active.

This movement had many strong ideas. Marinetti wrote that war could clean the human spirit. He also wanted to tear down museums and libraries. These ideas later helped shape big political changes in Italy. Futurism was a bold way to look at a changing world.
