Lysistrata has a big plan to bring peace. She meets with women from many different cities. She asks them to stop being with their husbands. This is called a sex strike. The women want to force the men to talk. They also take over the Acropolis. This is a high place in Athens. It holds the city's money. Without the money, the men cannot pay for war. The play shows how women feel during war. They feel that men make all the choices. They feel that their own ideas are not heard. In the end, the men agree to peace talks. The war finally ends. This play is still known today.
