London Calling

arts Maturity 11-13 Next article →

The Clash made a famous music record called London Calling.

It came out in 1979 and 1980. The band used many different sounds. They played punk rock, but they also played reggae and jazz. They even played rockabilly and pop. This made their music sound very big and new.

Before they recorded, the band had a hard time. The songwriters had writer's block. This means they could not think of new songs. They went to a studio in a garage. They practiced every day. They even played football to stay close as a team.
