Lithuanian is a special way of speaking.

It is the official language of Lithuania. It is also used in the European Union. About 2.8 million people speak it as their first language. Many others speak it as a second language.

This language is very old. It is a member of the Baltic branch of languages. Some experts say it is very conservative. This means it keeps many old features. It sounds like ancient languages such as Sanskrit or Ancient Greek.
