Kolyma Mountains

geography Maturity 7-9 Next article →

The Kolyma Mountains are in Siberia. They sit near the Sea of Okhotsk. These mountains have many high peaks. They also have flat areas called plateaus.

Many rivers start in these hills. Some rivers flow to the Kolyma River. Other rivers flow to the sea. This happens because the mountains split the land.

Some parts of the mountains are very far north. Other parts sit near the sea. The land is full of ridges and hills. It is a very big place.
