Many people thought he was a great restorer of his land. His name became a special title for later kings to use. This is similar to how the name Caesar was used in Rome.

Khosrow worked hard to improve how his empire functioned. He continued many big projects started by his father, Kavad I. He made new rules for the military and the economy. He also built many new cities and grand palaces.

To help his people, he created a professional army. He also worked to increase the money the state collected. These changes helped the empire grow very strong and stable. He wanted to make sure the realm was prosperous for everyone.

As a young prince, Khosrow had a very busy education. He went to school when he was only five or seven years old.

He learned how to write and study holy books. He also learned how to ride horses and use a bow. Training in polo and military skills was part of his life too. This training prepared him to be a strong leader for his people. He grew up knowing both how to rule and how to fight.

Khosrow spent much of his time managing wars and peace. In 532, he signed a peace treaty with the Byzantine Empire.

By the end of his reign, his empire was huge. It stretched all the way from Yemen to Gandhara.

Many different writers have told stories about Khosrow's life. Some stories come from the famous Persian book called the Shahnameh.

Other stories come from Greek and Syriac writers. These writers lived near the borders of his empire. They wrote about the wars and how they affected the people living there. We also have records of his life from the Islamic era. These different sources help us see how much he changed the world.
