In the Hindu faith, people believe in world ages. These ages are called yugas.

The current age is called Kali Yuga. Many believe this is the shortest and hardest age. It is often called the age of darkness or quarrel.

This age began around the year 3102 BCE. This was the time when Krishna died. Kali Yuga lasts for 432,000 years. Some say this age will end in the year 428,899 CE. When it ends, a new cycle will start. This new cycle will begin with the Krita Yuga.

People use a bull to show how morality works. Morality is also called dharma. In the first age, the bull has four legs. In the Kali Yuga, the bull has only one leg. This shows that virtue is at its lowest point. Some texts say that for the first 10,000 years, the bad effects are less. This is because of people who practice bhakti yoga. This is a way of showing devotion to God. Near the end, a figure named Kalki is said to bring a fresh start.
