Shooting requires a lot of focus and steady hands. In the 50 metre pistol event, shooters aim at targets from far away. In the 10 metre air pistol event, they shoot from a shorter distance. Jin had to score many points to win his medals.

He was also the first man to win gold in both the 10 metre air pistol and the 50 metre pistol at the same Olympics in 2012. He held the world record for the 50 metre pistol for a long time. His 2014 score broke a record set by Aleksandr Melentyev in 1980. These numbers show how much better he became over time.

Jin's success connects him to other great athletes. He is one of only three shooters to win three individual Olympic gold medals.
