Interfaith marriage is when two people marry from different religions.

Each partner often keeps their own faith. This can lead to big questions. One question is how to raise children.

Rules for these marriages change by place. In the United States, these marriages are growing. A study showed they are more common now than in 1960. In Israel, most marriages follow religious laws. Some groups, like the Druze, do not allow marriage to others. In Lebanon, couples may travel to Cyprus for a civil marriage. This helps them avoid religious rules.

Different faiths have different views. The Bahá'í Faith says all religions come from God. They allow interfaith marriage. They say both partners can use their own ceremonies. In some places, like parts of India, these unions can be hard. Some laws there require people to tell the state before they marry. In Saudi Arabia, religious rights are very restricted. People cannot openly celebrate other faiths there.
