Some live on Sulawesi. Others live on islands like Ambon or Ternate. These lizards are semiaquatic. This means they spend time in both water and on land. They can even run on top of water. They use their feet and tails to stay up. This helps them move quickly. Today, these lizards face many problems. They are losing the places where they live. People also take them from the wild. We must study them to help them stay safe.
