philosophy religion Maturity 11-13 Next article →

Long ago, a man named Hui Shi lived in China. He was a wise thinker. He was also a leader in a land called Wei.

Hui Shi liked to use strange ideas. These ideas are called paradoxes. One idea was about time. He said he could travel today and arrive yesterday.

He also thought about space. He believed that heaven and earth were like one. He thought all things were connected.

Hui Shi was a friend and rival to a man named Zhuangzi. They liked to talk and argue. It was a fun way to learn.

He wanted to show how things are the same. He also showed how they are different. It is fun to wonder about these big ideas.
