For instance, it estimated the year at 365 days, 6 hours, 12 minutes, and 36.56 seconds. Other texts like the Paulica Siddhanta or the Laghu Arya Siddhanta offered slightly different results. These variations suggest that the science was a living tradition that was constantly being revised. The scholars used a geocentric model, viewing the Sun and Moon as moving around the Earth.
