Weyl worked on many big ideas. He studied how space and time work. He was one of the first to link these ideas to light. This helped explain how matter moves. He also studied symmetry. Symmetry is when shapes or patterns repeat in a balanced way. His work helped explain how tiny particles behave in quantum mechanics. This is a way of studying the smallest parts of our world.

Weyl lived in many places. He studied in Germany. Later, he worked in Switzerland. He also spent time in the United States. He worked at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. He left Germany because of the rise of the Nazi party. He wanted to protect his family. Weyl died in 1955. His ideas still help scientists today.
