H.O.T. was a famous music group from South Korea. Their name stands for Highfive of Teenagers. They were the first K-pop idol group. Many new groups followed their way of making music. The group had five members. They were Moon Hee-joon, Jang Woo-hyuk, Tony Ahn, Kangta, and Lee Jae-won.

They made many hits. One song was "Candy," a happy pop song. Another song, "Descendants of Warriors," spoke about school bullying. H.O.T. was very successful. They sold over 6.4 million records in South Korea. They were also stars in China and Taiwan. This helped start the "Korean Wave" in Asia.

In 2001, the group had to stop working together. This was due to a disagreement over a new contract. Many fans held protests to show their support. Even after they split, the members stayed in the music world. They all had solo careers. In 2018, all five members met again for a special TV show. Later, they held huge reunion concerts. One concert in Seoul had 100,000 fans attend!
