It links our money, our cultures, and our lives. This makes different nations depend on each other.

New tools help this happen. Long ago, steamships and trains moved goods. Today, we use jet engines and big container ships. We also use the Internet and smartphones. These tools let us share news and ideas fast.

This process has many parts. Economic globalization is about trade and money. Cultural globalization is about sharing ways of life. Political globalization is about how leaders work together.

Some people like these changes. They say it helps the world grow. Others worry about the harm it can cause. They think it might hurt the earth or local ways of life.
