He spent his life exploring big questions about art, music, and religion. Nietzsche also studied the history of languages, which is called classical philology. He wrote many different things like poetry and essays. Some of his writing used short, clever sayings called aphorisms. He also used irony in his work to make points. Many people today still study his ideas in schools.

Nietzsche had many deep ideas about how people see the world. He believed that truth often depends on a person's perspective. This idea is called perspectivism. He also wrote about how people find meaning in life. He spoke about the "will-to-power," which is the idea of competing wills. He explored the balance between two different spirits called the Apollonian and Dionysian. He even wrote about the "eternal return," which is a unique way of looking at time.

He studied many languages like Greek, Latin, Hebrew, and French. In 1869, he became a professor at the University of Basel. He was only 24 years old when this happened. This made him one of the youngest professors on record. He moved between Switzerland, Italy, and France during his life. He often traveled to find better weather for his health.

Nietzsche's life was not always easy or stable. He faced many health problems for most of his life. In 1879, he had to leave his job at the university. He lived much of his time alone and had little money. In 1889, at age 44, he suffered a mental breakdown. This caused him to lose his ability to think clearly. He lived for 11 more years under the care of his family.

He died on 25 August 1900.

Even after he died, his work stayed very important. His sister, Elisabeth, took care of his papers for a long time. She edited his writings to fit her own political views. This caused some people to link his ideas to fascism. However, later scholars worked hard to correct these mistakes. They showed that Nietzsche actually spoke against those views. Today, his ideas help shape modern ways of thinking. They influence art, music, and even how we study politics.
