Food carts are not food trucks. They do not move on their own power. A person or animal can push them. A car or truck can pull them.

Long ago, trains helped food carts grow. People on early trains needed snacks. They also needed drinks to stay warm. Some travelers could not afford big hotels. They bought food from carts instead. Traders even used old luggage carts to make food carts. These carts fit well through train doors. Today, many carts are made of strong metal. Some can even drive themselves!
