Fantasy stories take us to imaginary worlds.

These worlds often have magic. You might find magical creatures there. Many stories use talking animals. These animals often act like people.

People have shared these tales for a very long time. Long ago, people told them out loud. Some stories come from old myths. For example, Greek and Roman myths are very famous. India also has a long history of fantasy stories. One old collection is called the Panchatantra. It uses animal fables to teach lessons.

In the past, many fantasy stories were only in books. Now, we see fantasy in many ways. We can watch fantasy films or TV shows. We can play fantasy video games. We can even see fantasy in art and music.
