arts Maturity 11-13 Next article →

Family Feud is a famous American game show.

Two families compete to win cash and prizes. They try to guess the most popular answers to survey questions. These questions come from a group of 100 people.

Each round starts with a face-off. One person from each family tries to buzz in first. If they give a top answer, their family wins control. Then, the family tries to guess all the hidden answers on the board. If they make three mistakes, the other family can try to steal the points.

The show has had many hosts since 1976. Richard Dawson was the first host. Now, Steve Harvey hosts the show. He has been the host since 2010. He has hosted for a very long time.

The winning family plays a bonus round called Fast Money. Two players must answer five questions very quickly. If they get 200 points or more, they win a big cash prize. Most of the time, this prize is $20,000. Families can also play to become champions. Some families play for five days in a row.
