People who specialize in this work are called evangelists. Some evangelists live in their own towns. Others live as missionaries in different parts of the world. Some traditions even see evangelists as leaders in their churches.

There are many ways to share these beliefs. People might have personal conversations or preach to large groups. Some use books, newspapers, or magazines to spread their message.

Others use electronic media like radio or the internet. In 1922, Aimee Semple McPherson used radio to reach a wide audience. In 1951, Billy Graham and Dick Ross started a film company. This company made videos of preaching and Christian films.

This is why the writers of the four Gospels are called the Four Evangelists. These writers are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

In 1960, Loren and Darlene Cunningham founded Youth with a Mission. Some groups even focus on children between the ages of 4 and 14. New tools like the internet and social networks also help people share their faith today.

Sometimes, people have different ideas about evangelism. Some people call it "proselytism." In the United States, this is protected. However, it is illegal in some other countries. Some people argue that sharing faith is a form of free speech. Others criticize how certain films or public talks are used. These debates show that people have many different views on how faith should be shared.
