He believed in a way of living called anarchism. This means he thought people could live together without a king or a powerful government. He wanted a world where everyone was free and fair. Malatesta spent his whole life working for these big ideas. He was a leader for many people who wanted social change. He was also a very busy man who worked many different jobs.

Malatesta used many ways to spread his ideas to others. He wrote many newspapers and pamphlets to share his thoughts. He also traveled to different countries to give speeches to large groups. Sometimes he worked as a mechanic to earn money. Later in life, he worked as an electrician in London. He even helped people by nursing those who were sick during a cholera epidemic. He believed that workers should join together to help each other.

His life was full of travel and many changes. He was born in 1853 in a place called Santa Maria Maggiore. Because of his ideas, he was often sent away from his home. This is called being in exile. He lived in many places like France, Switzerland, and England. He also spent twelve years living in Argentina. He even traveled to the United States to talk to immigrant communities there.

Malatesta faced many hard times during his long life. He was arrested many times by the police in different countries. He spent time in jails on the island of Lampedusa. Even when he was in prison, he kept thinking about how to help people. He escaped from one prison in 1899 with help from friends around the world. He also had to flee Italy many times to avoid being caught. These experiences made him a very strong and determined leader.

His ideas still matter to people who study history today. He helped start workers' unions in places like Argentina. His books were even used by labor groups in the Philippines. He tried to bring different groups of people together to work for a common goal. Malatesta died in 1932 after a long struggle with sickness. He remained devoted to his beliefs for over fifty years. His life shows how one person can change how others think about freedom.
