Dress codes are sets of rules for clothing.

These rules tell us what to wear. They can show our culture or our job. For example, some men wear tuxedos to big parties.

Some people wear special clothes for faith. Many Sikh men wear a turban. Some Muslim women wear a hijab to show their faith.

Rules also exist for work. Some workers wear a suit and tie. In tech jobs, people often wear casual clothes.

Clothing can show if someone is a leader. Long ago, kings wore fancy clothes to stand out. Dress codes help us see how people act.
