He is best known for writing science fiction stories. His most famous work is the novel Metro 2033. This book tells a story about survivors living in the Moscow metro tunnels. Many people love his work because it turned into a large multimedia franchise. This means his stories became video games and even comics. He even worked with a company called 4A Games to help make them. His writing helps people imagine strange and new worlds.

Glukhovsky has many ways of telling his stories.

He often uses the internet to share his ideas. For example, he first published Metro 2033 on his website in 2002. He let people read it for free as an experiment. He did this with another book called Dusk. He also wrote Metro 2034 as a collaborative art project. This project included a musical performer named Dolphin and an artist named Anton Gretchko. He likes to find new ways to connect with his readers.

His life has taken him to many different places.

He was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. When he was 17, he moved to Israel to study. He spent four and a half years living there. He learned to speak Hebrew at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He even earned a university degree in Journalism and International Relations there. He worked very hard to study in a new language. This helped him feel like an Israeli citizen.

Glukhovsky has also had a busy career as a journalist.

He worked for many news groups like Euronews and RT. He traveled halfway around the world to report the news. He visited the North Pole and the Baikonur Cosmodrome. He even went to the Chernobyl exclusion zone. He worked as a war correspondent during the 2006 Lebanon War. These experiences helped him learn about many different parts of the world.

Today, Glukhovsky lives abroad because of his views on the Russian government.

He spoke out against the invasion of Ukraine. He also spoke about the arrest of an activist named Alexei Navalny. Because of these actions, the Russian government put him on a wanted list. He was also named a foreign agent by the justice ministry. In August 2023, he was given an eight-year prison sentence. He continues to live away from his home country.
