Dalilah was a famous dancer from Spain. She was born Adelaida Angulo Agramunt in 1936. She loved to move from a very young age. By age three, she was already starting her career. She learned many different styles of dance from teachers. She studied ballet with Miss Karen Taft. She also practiced flamenco with La Quica and Regla Ortega. Later, she learned Spanish Classical Dance and the Bolero school.

In 1954, Dalilah traveled to Egypt for the first time. She went with her dance partner, Jose Molina. While there, she saw many famous Egyptian dancers. A singer named Wadih Al Safi helped her. He encouraged her to try a new path. Dalilah decided to leave Spanish dancing behind. She began to follow the rhythms of belly dance. This is also called oriental dance. It is a beautiful and traditional art form.

Dalilah became a very successful star in Egypt. In 1959, she was named dancer of the year. She performed at the grand opening of the Nile Hilton in Cairo. Many Hollywood stars were there to watch her. She also danced for many kings and queens. She performed for the Shah of Persia and Queen Soraya. She danced for King Farouk and King Hussein of Jordan. She even danced for the Sultan of Bahrain.

Her life took her to many different lands. She traveled to Europe with an Egyptian orchestra. She even performed for filmmaker Federico Fellini in Italy. Later, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1974. She opened her own dance studio and boutique there. For ten years, she taught authentic Egyptian dance to Americans. She even brought the dancer Mahmoud Reda to the USA. Together, they held workshops for thousands of people.

Dalilah helped people learn about real culture. In 1977, she helped organize a big dance tour. It was called "Belly dancers dream come true." This tour went to Cairo. It showed American women real oriental dance. They learned from legends like Tahia Carioca and Samia Gamal. This tour was so special that ABC televised it. In 1984, Dalilah returned to her home in Madrid. She taught master classes and worked on films until 2001.
