North of that is Dali Old Town. Many people visit the old town to see its history. It was once the capital for two kingdoms. The buildings there look traditional. They use white walls and tiled roofs.

The weather is mild. Winters are short and dry. Summers are warm and rainy. Most rain falls from June to October.

People do many things in Dali. Some visit museums to see old art. Others go to Xizhou to see wood crafts. You can also ride a bike near Erhai Lake.
