Curtly Ambrose is one of the greatest fast bowlers in the history of cricket. A fast bowler is a player who throws the ball at very high speeds. He played for the West Indies, a famous cricket team. Ambrose was known for his incredible skill and his tall height. His height helped the ball bounce much higher than usual. This made it very hard for the batsmen to hit the ball. He was also very accurate with his throws. He was often rated as the best bowler in the entire world.

Ambrose had a very specific way of playing the game. He relied on great accuracy to hit the right spots. He also made sure the other team could not score many runs. One of his best moves was called a yorker. A yorker is a ball aimed right at the batsman's feet. He could also take wickets in quick succession. This means he would get many players out in a short time. His bowling could completely overwhelm the other team. He often worked alongside another great bowler named Courtney Walsh.
