Cocomelon

Cocomelon is a famous YouTube channel made for children aged two to five.

It uses 3D animation to bring stories to life. The videos show children, adults, and animals interacting in daily life. Most videos use nursery rhymes or original songs. You can see the lyrics at the bottom of the screen. This makes it easy for kids to sing along.

The creators want the characters to feel real to their young audience. They even have a 100-page guide about the characters' backstories. Some shows use a mix of real people and animation. This helps children connect with what they see on the screen.

Making these videos involves many different steps. The team uses computer animation to create the 3D worlds. Some videos even use motion capture technology to move the characters.

They create standalone music videos, long compilations, and live streams. In 2024, they introduced a show that blends live action with animation. This new style includes a teacher named Ms. Appleberry. She is played by a real person named Juliana Urtubey. This mix helps teach important lessons about social and emotional growth.

Cocomelon has a long history that started as a small hobby. Jay Jeon created the channel in September 2006.

At first, it was called "checkgate." He and his wife made videos to help their own children learn. They mostly posted short videos about the alphabet. In 2013, they changed the name to "ABC Kid TV." They began moving from alphabet lessons to nursery rhymes. By 2016, they started using 3D animation. Finally, they rebranded the channel to Cocomelon in 2018.

Since then, the brand has grown into a huge global success.

In 2020, the company was sold to Moonbug Entertainment. Later, Candle Media bought Moonbug for $3 billion. Cocomelon is now available in many languages like Spanish, Mandarin, and Arabic. There are many special shows for different fans. "Nina's Familia" focuses on Latine culture and uses both English and Spanish. "Cocomelon Lane" is a series on Netflix about learning feelings. There is even a podcast on Spotify called "Cocomelon Story Time."

Today, Cocomelon is part of many different parts of a child's life. It is not just something you watch on a screen.

You can find Cocomelon toys, like plush dolls and vehicles, made by Jazwares. There have even been live tours called "Cocomelon Party Time." In Saudi Arabia, they even built a "Cocomelon Town" for a festival. This town had a replica of the Cocomelon house and a playground. From YouTube to live events, Cocomelon has become a very big part of modern childhood.
