These cats are amazing climbers. They have long tails to help them balance in trees. Their back legs are longer than their front legs. This helps them jump and leap. They can even climb down tree trunks head first. They often rest in trees during the day. At night, they hunt on the forest floor.

Clouded leopards have very long teeth. These are called canines. Their teeth are very large for their body size. Some people call them modern-day sabre-tooth cats.

Today, there are fewer than 10,000 adult clouded leopards left. They are listed as vulnerable. This means they might face a risk of extinction. They lose their homes when forests are cut down. They are also hunted by people. We must work to protect them and their forest homes.
