Some people follow a way of thinking called Christian deism.

This idea comes from both Christianity and deism. Deism is the belief that God made the world. Then, God lets the world run by its own laws.

These people do not think Jesus was a god. Instead, they focus on the good lessons he taught. They believe Jesus taught people to love God and others.

Many thinkers helped shape these ideas. John Locke was a very important influence. Thomas Jefferson was another famous person who held these views. He even made his own version of the Bible. He cut out stories about miracles and magic. He wanted to focus on how to be a good person. Christian deists use reason to find truth. They also look at nature to learn about God. They believe God's laws are written in the human heart. To them, being good is a natural part of life. They see the world as a place where people are free to make choices.
