People make herbal tea with these plants. They use dried flowers and hot water. This is called an infusion. Chamomile also adds flavor to food and beer. It is used in soaps and lotions too. Some people grow it in gardens. Roman chamomile can grow as a soft lawn. You can even sit on these plants!

Growing chamomile can be hard. Many bugs and germs can hurt the plants. Tiny insects like aphids like to eat them. Some viruses can also cause damage.

It is important to be careful with chamomile. Some people might have allergies to it. This happens if they are allergic to daisies or ragweed. Doctors say it may not be safe for pregnant women. It might also react with certain medicines. There is no proof yet that it treats any sickness.
