It is in Oxford, England. It is one of the oldest libraries in Europe. Its roots go back to the 1300s.

A man named Thomas Cobham started a small collection then. Later, a room called Duke Humfrey's Library was built in 1488.

In 1602, Sir Thomas Bodley helped start the library again. He used his own money to fix it.

He built the Tower of the Five Orders. This tower has many styles of columns.

The library has over 13 million items. It is the second-largest library in Britain. It has many buildings. One is the Radcliffe Camera.

Another is the Weston Library. Most books must stay in the reading rooms. You cannot take them home. Readers must sign a formal paper to enter. Some people even say a special oath out loud.
