He is best known for co-creating the superhero Batman. He worked alongside a writer named Bill Finger to bring the character to life. Together, they created a hero who was a scientific detective. Kane's work helped shape the Golden Age of comic books. This era was a very important time for new stories. People all over the world still love the characters he helped build.

Making Batman involved many creative ideas and steps. Kane first thought of a character called "the Bat-Man." He looked at many things for inspiration. He studied a flying machine called an ornithopter by Leonardo da Vinci. He also looked at the movie The Bat Whispers. Bill Finger helped change the look of the hero. Finger suggested a gray-and-black color scheme instead of bright red. He also added a scalloped cape and a mask with blank eyeholes.
