These scientists study how parts of a cell work together. They look at how DNA and proteins interact. They use special tools to see these tiny things. Some tools use light to make pictures. Other tools use X-rays to see shapes. They can even use tiny tweezers to move molecules.

This work helps in medicine too. This part is called medical physics. It helps doctors use tools like X-rays to treat people. A scientist named Richard Feynman thought about tiny machines. He thought these machines could one day fix the body.

Many people work in this field today. The Biophysical Society has about 9,000 members. They study many things like how blood flows. They also study how the brain works. It is a big field that connects many sciences.
