People choose different gods to love. Some follow Vishnu, such as Krishna or Rama. Others worship Shiva. Some people show devotion to the goddess Shakti. The specific god can change for every person. This path is part of many traditions like Vaishnavism and Shaivism.

There are many ways to practice this love. Some people sing songs to praise a god. Others might listen to holy stories. Some people serve a god through their daily work. One tradition uses nine ways to show devotion. These include singing, praying, and even being a friend to the divine. Some people follow rules to show love. Others feel a natural pull toward the divine. This feeling is a deep and pure joy.
