They were famous for singing with tight, three-part harmonies. This means their three voices blended together perfectly. In the early years, Robin Gibb used a clear, shaky singing style called vibrato. Later, in the 1970s, Barry Gibb used a high voice called a falsetto. This high sound became their signature style during the disco era. They wrote all their own songs and helped other artists too. People all over the world loved their unique sound.

Learning to sing together was a big part of their journey.

In 1957, the brothers were supposed to sing along to a record. However, the record broke right before they could perform. They had to sing live for the audience instead. The crowd loved them so much that they decided to become singers. Later, they performed on the back of a truck at a speedway. They even collected money thrown by the crowd to earn pocket money. These early steps helped them build great skills.

The brothers were born on the Isle of Man to English parents.

They lived in places like Redcliffe and Cribb Island in Queensland. They worked hard to find success in the Australian music scene. By January 1967, they moved back to the United Kingdom. This move helped them reach a much larger audience.
