Audiologists are experts who help with these things. They work with people from birth until they are old.

Audiologists use many ways to test hearing. They check if sounds are too soft or too loud. They look for problems in the ear or the brain. They also check the vestibular system. This is the part of the inner ear that helps us stay balanced.

If someone has trouble hearing, an audiologist can help. They might suggest hearing aids. These are small tools that make sounds louder. They may also suggest cochlear implants. These are tools that go inside the ear.

Audiologists also help keep ears safe. They can make special ear plugs. This helps prevent damage from loud noises. Some audiologists even do research to learn more. They study how sound works and how to help people hear better.
