One famous story tells of a time when the world went dark. Susanoo caused trouble in Amaterasu's palace. This made her very angry. She hid inside a cave called the Ame-no-Iwayato. Without her, there was no light. The other gods worked together to lure her out. They used a mirror to show her reflection. When she saw herself, she came out. This brought light back to the world.
