This poster showed her in a fine dress. It had a bright arch behind her head. This look became part of his special style. His work was part of a movement called Art Nouveau. This style used many pretty shapes and plants. Later in life, Mucha returned to his home. He spent many years on a huge project. He painted twenty large canvases called The Slav Epic. These paintings told the history of his people. He gave these works to his nation in 1928. He thought they were his most important art.
