Life in the empire included trade and art. People used the Akkadian language to talk. But they still used Sumerian for religion. Later, the empire faced many hard times. A long drought made the land very dry. Crops failed and people went hungry. This made the empire weak. Finally, a group called the Gutians invaded. This brought an end to the empire.
