Many people even copy the famous cover photo of the band walking across a zebra crossing.

Recording the album involved many different steps and tools. The band used a new mixing desk called the TG12345 Mk I. This tool helped the music sound clear, bright, and warm. They also used eight-track machines to record their songs.

The musicians used a Moog synthesizer to make electronic sounds. George Harrison introduced this machine to the band. They also used a Leslie speaker to change the sound of the guitars. Ringo Starr even used many tom-tom drums to create a loud beat.

History shows that the recording happened in 1969. The band started some sessions in February at Trident Studios. They did most of the work in April, July, and August.

The final time all four Beatles were in the studio together was 20 August 1969. Even though the band broke up in April 1970, this was their final studio project. The album was a huge success in both the United States and the United Kingdom. It reached the top of the music charts very quickly.

There were many important people involved in making the music. Producer George Martin helped the band follow a strict plan. Assistant engineers like Alan Parsons and John Kurlander also helped.

George Harrison wrote two very special songs called "Something" and "Here Comes the Sun." The song "Something" was even a number-one hit in the US. Paul McCartney wrote "Maxwell's Silver Hammer," which used an anvil for sound. John Lennon wrote "Come Together," which was also a very popular song.

Making the album was a hard job because the band had many arguments. John Lennon and Paul McCartney sometimes disagreed on how the music should sound. Lennon even had a car accident while they were working. He had a bed placed in the studio so his wife, Yoko Ono, could watch the recording.

Despite these tensions, the music turned out wonderful. Some people thought the music sounded too artificial at first. Now, most people think it is one of the greatest albums ever made.
