Tsedenbal's life began with a lot of learning. He was born in 1916 in a place called Uvs Province. 
He rose to power through his work in politics. In 1939, he joined the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party. He quickly became a leader in the finance department. By 1940, he was already a very high-ranking official. He worked closely with a leader named Khorloogiin Choibalsan. 
Once he became the top leader, he made big changes. He wanted Mongolia to be a close partner to the Soviet Union. He even helped change the Mongolian writing system. He brought in the Cyrillic script to replace the old script. 
Tsedenbal's time as a leader ended in a big way. He held many high honors and titles during his life. He was even called a marshal in the army.

Tsedenbal's journey began with an intensive education in the Soviet Union. He was born in 1916 in the Bayan Chandamani Uula banner. 
His political rise was rapid and tied to the existing leadership. In 1939, he joined the MPRP after being recommended by a Soviet intelligence officer. 
After the death of leader Khorloogiin Choibalsan in 1952, Tsedenbal consolidated his power. 
Tsedenbal's domestic policies focused on making Mongolia an industrial-agricultural country. He pushed for rapid industrialization, specifically the processing of raw materials for the Soviet market. He also promoted the Russian language as a key part of education. 
As his rule continued, Tsedenbal developed a massive cult of personality. 

His long era of leadership ended in 1984 when he was expelled with Soviet support.
