Vince played football at Fordham University. He was part of a line called the Seven Blocks of Granite. In one game, he lost teeth after a hard hit. That loss taught him to never underestimate an opponent.

He coached many teams before the Green Bay Packers. He worked at West Point, a military school. This taught him about discipline. At the New York Giants, he used a new way to block. He called it "running to daylight."

With the Packers, Vince was a winner. He led them to five NFL championships. He also won the first two Super Bowls. He never had a losing season as a head coach. Today, the NFL Super Bowl trophy is named in his honor. He is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
