He is known for using new ways to lead his troops.

Zaluzhnyi changed how the military works in Ukraine. He moved away from old ways used during the Soviet era. One big change was letting soldiers make quick decisions. He allowed troops at the front to respond to enemies immediately. This meant they did not always need permission from leaders far away. He also tried to stop the need for too many papers. He wanted soldiers to focus on their jobs instead of documents. He believed in using new technology like unmanned vehicles. He thought modern tools could change how wars are fought.

His journey started a long time ago in Novohrad-Volynskyi.
