Vaalbara

earth science Maturity 11-13 Next article →

A long time ago, Earth had big lands.

One big land was called Vaalbara. It joined parts of Africa and Australia.

Scientists think it was one of the first lands. They see similar rocks in both places. Big rocks from space hit the land too. These hits made tiny glass beads. We find these old beads in both lands. This shows they were once together. It is a very old story.
