Flukes are tiny, flat worms.

They live inside other animals. These worms are called parasites. They need more than one host to grow.

First, they often live in a snail. This is where they make more of themselves. Next, they move to a larger animal. This could be a bird or a fish.

Some flukes live in humans too. They can live in the blood or the lungs. They can even live in the gut.

These small worms have two suckers. They use them to hold on tight. It is a busy life for a tiny fluke!
