He was known by many as a kind and loving person. When he was only nine years old, he saved his father's life. He pulled his father from a fire in their apartment. Trayvon also enjoyed playing sports and video games. He liked to work on pocket bikes and dirt bikes. He even worked hard to earn his own money. He washed cars, babysat, and cut grass to do this.

Trayvon had big dreams for his future. He loved football and played for a team called the Wolverines. Later, he decided he wanted to work with airplanes. Krop Senior High. He was a student who enjoyed math and was often very polite.

In February 2012, Trayvon was visiting Sanford, Florida. He was walking back from a convenience store to a nearby house.

A man named George Zimmerman saw him. Zimmerman was a member of a community watch group. He reported Trayvon to the police as suspicious. An altercation happened between the two men. During this fight, Zimmerman shot Trayvon in the chest. This event led to a very sad loss for his family.
