Miró loved the countryside very much. He painted every leaf and every blade of grass. The art shows many farm animals. You can see a dog, a goat, and a rabbit. There are also chickens, snails, and lizards. A large eucalyptus tree stands in the center. It grows from a black circle. A bright white sun sits in the sky. The painting even shows cracks in the walls. A writer named Ernest Hemingway once owned it. He said it felt like being in Spain. Now, the painting lives in a museum in Washington, D.C. It is a very important part of Miró's life and work.
