Math can look at how things spin.

Stokes' Theorem
Stokes' Theorem

Imagine water moving in a swirl. We can measure this spin on a flat surface. We can also measure it around the edge. Both ways give us the same answer. This is a special rule called Stokes' theorem. It helps us link the edge to the middle. It works for shapes in our world. This rule is a very useful tool.
