Spread (food)

language culture Maturity 5-7 Next article →

A spread is soft food.

You use a knife to put it on bread. You can use it on crackers, too. Spreads make food taste better. They can also change how food feels.

Some spreads are made from nuts. Others come from plants or milk. You might use honey or jam. You can even use meat. Some people put spreads in sandwiches. This is different from a dip. You do not dip food into a spread. You spread it on top.

Spreads make every snack fun.
